主講者是為南韓人、住在美國，為外交使者去北韓交英文。這演講中描述了她在北韓教導菁英幹部的子女的經驗。她在北韓的其間不能跟學生們講韓語、一舉一動也會被人盯住。她形容北韓整個國家都活在一個巨大的謊言中，學生的批判性思考是不被允許的，而且全國上下都得無時無刻膜拜他們的領導著。雖然學生是學習資工類別的，但是Internet, Twitter, Facebook 都不被能知道其存在。

演講的風格很感性，一聽就停不下來。

前言 ：

倫大今年五月的F1 visa就過期，

雖然在美國居留的條件是看I-20(入學許可)上的日期

想說畢業之後如果以OPT(Optional Practical Training,實習)的方式居留在美國，

沒有找到工作之前，OPT的情況下有限制入境的，

簡單的說OPT是工作許可，並非入境許可。

所以要入境美國以OPT的名義，就得要有工作，

入境時得出示I-20, F-1 Visa, and  offer letter(有工作證明)

這樣子，就乾脆回台灣一趟吧，先更新F1 visa再說，

或許之後還有需要出入境的機會。

因為是有熟悉的朋友要我幫忙寫介紹，

所以在研究工作等等忙碌的其間，還是有情有義的來寫篇介紹文。

答應要寫之後，已經欠很久啦，再不寫可能會被追殺， >/////<

(平常就被SOP的請求追殺了，現在還要寫畢業論文！！)

雖然本身沒有宗教信仰，

週六，跟朋友一起去參加查經班舉辦的活動，

地點是在St. George Island 上租來的Beach house.

離Tallahassee不是很遠的車程，大約1:30~2:00可以到。

於是我們在中途安插了去個St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge的行程。

到了Beach house後，又去了 附近的St. George Island State Park,

以及一個古老的小鎮叫，Apalachicola，

最後回到Beach house吃BBQ，然後開車回到家就晚上十一點多了呢。

  note: totem這個字是從北美原住民的語言發展來的，totem指可以作為代表一個家庭的圖像，或是代表一個部落的圖像。比方說飛魚可以是台灣蘭嶼原住民達悟族的totem.

  note: Totem poles 是一種具有紀念性的木柱，是北美原住民的一種表達他們對祖先、自然界的方式。

 Toxin simply means it is a biologically produced poison.

 note: 比方說毒青蛙的毒就可以叫toxin.

  note: trace 指的是痕跡，在電腦網管方面使用tracert command (trace route) 可以查出某個網站連到你電腦所走的路線。

n.足跡

  note: track的意思還滿多的。基本上的概念是"任何東西，所留下的腳印"， 所以你可以聽到 animal tracks。 然後track也有某種路線、路徑的概念，例如the track of a storm, a track in the forest. 再衍生下去還可以當作鐵路的軌道，或是賽跑賽車用的跑道，motor-racing track.

  note: track本身字根的意思有draw, 就像腳可以在地上牽引出足跡的樣子。

v. 跟蹤

  ex. 像xination的研究中，就有用到tracking Gamma-ray的技術。

 note: 也是一個比較多字義的字。digestive tract 是消化道 ( 包含 the stomach and intestines )

地點是FSU Reservation,是學生玩outdoor activity 的地方。

裡面有個湖，可以划船，旁邊也有小沙灘、可以玩沙灘排球，然後還有攀岩場。

近日是期末考週結束，而summer break的前一天。來的人還不少呢。

這次要來寫的書評是個系列書籍，

是來自眾文圖書的TOEFL iBT 托福破百高手系列，其下的應考策略以及高頻單字這兩本書。

與之前也是一樣的，出版社很有心的寄書到美國給我，

沒有其他的報酬，就只有兩本書而已。

那就來開始看看我的簡短摘要以及試讀心得。
