lapse

n.小錯,失誤 [A usually minor or temporary failure; a slip]

ex. a lapse of memory = 記憶的小錯

ex. a lapse of ten minutes before the program resumed.

ps. laspe的意思很多，但只要掌握住核心概念就不會亂， lapse它的核心概念是從"slip 滑動、滑倒"發展而來的 ，當一個人滑倒的時候看起來是不是像出了錯了呢。所以laspe最原始就有「a minor error」的意思。接下來，由於slip的概念，lapse也用作時間的滑動，就是指「時間的間隔」，是由一段時間滑過去了而構成的。 此外，slip也當作滑"倒"，所以lapse有當作下降、偏離的意思。
