providence,就是指神明對我們的care
provident,是形容一個人可以很有遠見,它所屬的情況像是在農夫在豐收的時候會存糧食,以備未來荒年之用;就像是神的遠見的行為。
providential,是形容某些事像是神到來了一樣,非常幸運的意思。

provision其一的意思是條件、但書,但是我可以同意你的要求,不過我有個provision (ie. condition, proviso)
這是源於宗教開會討論時,所暫時同意的論點,意思是為了未來討論而暫時同意。

provision其二是當食物解,尤其是囤積的食物,比方說出海航行所準備的食物,可以叫provision
最後的是provisional, 它就是指暫時的。
