During a short stay in Taiwan, I had  opportunities to visit or re-visit some traveling spots I have yearned to.

 

The structure in this post is:

1. YeLiu Geopark

2. Tamsui and Fisherman's Wharf

3. Taipei Zoo and Maokong Gondola

YeLiu Geopark 野柳地質公園

 

 

It is full of spectacular rocks that be formed by unique formation here.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Let's check it.

It was a very hot day, and the water was almost run out in a pond.

 

 

I was reading the description of rock formation.

 

 

 

Many travelers!! Some from Hong knog, some from China, Japan, or Korea.

 

 

 淡水 Tamsui

We went to Tamsui on Saturday. People were everywhere.

 

 

An incredible street artist!!  It was a such hot day.... I did really admire him.

 

 

A must-eat dish in Tamsui.

 

 

So many people in this restaurant... it seems the authentic one.

 

 

 

 

 

We were taking a cruise to Fisherman's Wharf(漁人碼頭).

 

 

 

Lover Bridge of Tamsui.

 

 

 

Near the sunset, people were leaving to catch the final cruise back to Tamsui.

And It became quiet and the moon was emerging.

 

 

 

Maybe it was its most beautiful time when near the sunset.

 

 

 

Wow the color of the light on the bridge was changing periodically.

  

 

 

 

Taipei Zoo 台北動物園  and Maokong Gondola 貓空纜車

 

 

There was a long queue of people taking Maokong Gondola.

We have reversed a crystal cabin online, so it somewhat shortened our waiting time.

 

 

The so-called "eye of Maokong" is a kind of cabin that you can have a bird's-eye view to the Taipei city.

 

 

 

 

My girlfriend was very nervous, and afraid to open the eyes.

 

 

 

 

The moment of silence was very enjoyable, which was so rare in Taipei.

 

 

 

After arriving Maokong, it was around noon, and very very hot.

We cannot help but bought  ice cream with tea flavor that grew here.

 

 

 

 

I love Zoo~!!

There were cute transportation trains taking people to the entrance of Taipei zoo.

A group of members of Falun Gong were in front of the plaza of Taipei 101.

 

 

 

 

I have heard the Major Ko's order to protect Falun Gong members from harassment.

 

 

 

 

 

Ximending (西門町)

We went to find a store to repair my headphones, and it was very near Ximending. So we walked around Ximending, and it was kind of a wired place to me. It seemed a place full of Japanese style, although recently Korean pop culture became more and more prevalent.
