字根miss，mit，是throw丟和send寄的意思

remiss  a.玩忽職守 [careless about their duty] [一次又一次的放掉]

不斷的把責任丟掉--> 玩忽職守

remit   v.豁免捐稅、匯款、減緩、赦免懲罰

最原始的意思是send money back to someone

把錢送回來--->豁免捐稅

後來引申成錢的流動--> 匯款    // remittance  n.匯款

或者是

減緩=abate

赦免懲罰 [把人犯從監牢裡送回來]// remission n.寬恕[forgiveness, as of sins]

因赦免懲罰、取消債務可讓人心寬--->放鬆

unremitting  adj.不間斷的

[沒有放鬆地堅持下去--->不間斷的]
