Second, she mentions the broad definition of money.

She says that anything people use to purchase is able to call money.

She also gives an example: A farmer may give his vegetables to the taxi driver for the exchange of the service.

In that case, vegetables can be called money.

In the lecture, the professor discuss the two definitions of money, and offers several examples to illustrate the definitions.

The fisrt definition of money is that coins and paper bills, which pertains to the narrow definition of money. The professor says" just as we use them every day, we think they're typical money."

The professor continues to explain the broad definition of money, that is, whaterever can be used to exchange is money . An example is that a farmer gives his vegetables to the taxi dervier for the exchange of the service. In that situation, under the broad definition of money, vegetables are money.
