這邊是提供OG的範例,希望你先做一次後,然後跟example對比看看。

練習的時候,要錄音,如果你才剛開始練習,可以將你record的聽寫出來,

看看自己到底說了什麼,文法哪裡出錯了,有沒有完整性!

題目

some college students choose to take courses in a variety of subject areas in oorder to get a broad education. Ohers choose to focus on a single subject area in order to have a deeper undertanding of that area. Which approach to course selection do you think is better for students and why.

response 2-1 (high level)

This is kind of.. complicated question.

ehh I think it's important to know which ... ehh stage you are.

If you are hmm. hmm.. undergraduate student.

I would dather(rather) to take it, wide range to and wide variety of subjects and different areas.

... Because it .. would.. expend(extend) my knowledge.. would improve my understanding for different topics.

On the other hand, if I am a graduate student. I would datherd(rather) to take specific courses.

Because, if you know, ehh... when you are a graduate student, you are.. working and dealing with specific topic and therefore you have to focus..

Rater's Comments

The speaker gives a thoughtful, sustained answer with ideas and reasons that progess logically.

He speaks fluently and demonstrates good control of grammar and voabulary, with only minor errors that do not obscure the meaning of his ideas.

The speaker very clearly states his opinion that the answer depends on whether you are an undergraduate or graudate student.

He continues by giving a detailed reason that supports each perspective.

重點整理:

Rater評論說

1. 話者持續說了45秒

2. 字彙控制地很好

3. 文法控制地很好 (雖然有文法小錯誤,但沒有影響句意)

4. 使用specific detail

5. 清楚地、邏輯地發展ideas

重點與no.1是完全是一樣的,所以就不在重複分析了。

在這邊要提的是,這位speaker並沒有完全agree或完全disagree

你可以看到ETS對於立場是沒有限制的,

因此你可以選擇比較好講的一方論述,也可以兩邊都講。

response 2-2 (low level)

...hmm

I think it's better to.. focus on.. single subject area.

ahmm.. so that can have a deeper understanding of that area and I can be a profession about that.. topic or whatever the.. the.. the course I am taking.

And... It's..foo(good).

For me it's easier to to.. concen..trate on one thing.

And most people will be easier if they concentrate on one thing.

And it depends .. but I prefer..for.. studying on the ,full courses of the single object..ahh..subject.

..

So that is

Rater's Comments

Although the speaker's pronunciation is clear, his pace is slow and irregular.

The clearest parts of his speech are words that he has taken from the prompt of the question.

He demonstrates very limited vocabulary.

His thoughts are understandable at the sentence level, but there are very few connections between sentences.

Such connections would help listeners to understand what is being said or enable them to predict what will likely come next.

The opinion is stated in the begining. However, he frequently use words from the prompt and repeats the same idea throughtout the response.

重點整理:

Rater評論說

比方說ahmm.. so that can have a deeper understanding

應該是 so that I can have a deeper understanding.

no. 2的要點與no.
